How to Import a CSV
What is a CSV? A CSV is a simple spreadsheet file that lists your transactions — date, amount, merchant, category. Most banks and finance apps can export one.
Where do I get it? Log into your bank or app and look for "Export transactions" or "Download activity." Copilot, Origin, Monarch, and most major banks all support this.
What months can I import? You can import one or more months at once. Soar will only replace transactions for the months found in the file — older data stays untouched.
Income matching tip Soar matches paycheck deposits by merchant name. If your income isn't matching, make sure the "Paycheck shows up as" hint you entered during setup matches how your bank labels the deposit in the CSV (e.g. "Acme Corp" or "Direct Deposit"). You can re-run the import after correcting it.
Home Strategy
What is this? Home Strategy helps you think through your current home — how much equity you have, when it might be paid off, and what it could be worth over time.
What it uses Your current home value, mortgage balance, interest rate, and how long you plan to stay. You set these in the fields below it.
Appreciation estimate Tap "✦ Estimate Rate" and Soar AI will look up typical appreciation rates for your area based on recent market data.
What it shows Projected home value, remaining equity, and payoff timeline — useful for deciding when to sell, refinance, or upgrade.
